Our Mahavidyalay National service scheme started from 2002-03 one Unit and one progrmme officer grant –in –aid financial support from central governments ministry of youth affairs. A separate office is maintained from where all the activities of the NSS are co-ordinate. The seminar hall and the central ground is used for events with large audience. The NSS office has shelves and cupboards that are used for maintaining records and material required for campus and similar events.
Efforts for carbon neutrality
The college through the NSS activities spreads the massage of greener environment ,evils of burning fossil fuels and arrangement for proper disposal of plastic waste .this is also extend in the annual social gartering through skits and plays depicting problem and offering solution.
The college takes up tree plantation through various activities of NSS. The activity is also carried out to mark any special occasion when students of the college are involved. Tree plantation college campus and NSS camp nearby villages is also carried out to maintain the balance of the Eco-system .at present trees planted at Belur, Parchanda ,Sora and Ugilewadi.
The college encourages the students and faculty to carry out extension activates in the order to promote institution –neighborhood –community network and student engagement. Participation in the extension service is carried out for students though co-curricular activities conducted by NSS.NSS Annual Special Camp are conducted every year in the neighboring villages. Asst. professor and students volunteers actively involve in community service in these camps. It enables them to acquaint with the role of good citizenship and the holistic development.
Various Movement and Activities
NSS unit of our college help the students to involve in various social activities by ensuring consistent encouragement and motivation and promotes citizenship roles also. The programme organizes by our college are as follow:
– Voluntary blood donation.
– Cleanliness and beautification of campus.
– Awareness, Relief Fund Rallies
– Tree Plantation /Environment Awareness Campaign
– Anniversaries of the great leaders to propagate their principal social justice and human values.
– Rallies like Sadbhavna (Harmony) rally, Aids Awareness rally, Constitution Awareness Rally, Voter Awareness Rally, Shivajijayanti Rally, Mahatma phule jayanti Rally, Kaumi ekta saptaha , Independent day republic day Maharashtra day ,Marathwada independent day, Swami Ramanand tirth marathwada university Nanded, Anniversaries celebrations and so on are organized on special occasions.
– National level camp, state level camp (Awahan ,SRD) university level camp (leadership development camp ,vivek vahini camp) our student participated in it.
